What is Teppanyaki cooking?
This is a cooking style developed in Japan that uses a hot iron griddle to prepare the food.
Meat, fish, vegetables, pancakes and many other delicious dishes can be prepared on the hot plate.
It’s kind of like a mix of an indoor barbecue and frying in a frying pan.
It is a healthy way of cooking because thanks to the non-stick plates you only need to add a little oil, and excess oil released during cooking can be drained into the removable drip tray.
If you’re having a gathering with friends and family, or just want to introduce a change to your regular meals, cooking Teppanyaki is a great way to get everyone involved. The Royalty Line Teppanyaki grills you use at home only need to be connected to the mains. Everyone can then gather around the grill plate and prepare their own starters, main courses and even desserts.
A world of delicious recipes
With a Teppanyaki Hot Plate at home you can make all the classic dishes, such as Teppanyaki chicken, salmon, beef, vegetables and fried rice. You can use your table grill for a big breakfast, burgers for lunch, fish for dinner, pancakes and welsh cakes – you can even make Teppanyaki Popcorn with it! With an adjustable thermostat and 5 heat settings, you have complete control over what you cook and how.
Easy to clean
Cleaning your hob is easy. Because you only need to add a small amount of oil to start the cooking process, and excess oil is drained into the drip tray, all you need to do is wipe the grill with a damp cloth that has been soaked in warm soapy water. Then wipe with clean water and make sure your Teppanyaki device is completely dry before storing.
Adjustable temperature control
Have full control over the heat of your teppanyaki hob with the adjustable temperature control knob that allows you to choose from 5 different heat settings.
Removable drip tray
The non-stick surface of the baking tray means that you need a minimum amount of oil during baking and any fat or moisture released during baking is drained into the removable drip tray.
Simple, portable cooking
Can be used anywhere where there is electricity. Create a cozy dining experience at home, use it as a smoke-free BBQ or grill for camping, in the caravan or during a self-catering holiday.
Should you put oil on the meat before cooking or on the plate?
This is really a matter of personal preference.
The professional Teppanyaki chefs put a little oil on the plate before preparing something, but you can also put some oil directly on the meat to keep it dry.
You can use any type of oil you like or the low calorie sprays if you want to be extra healthy.

✨ Here is an easy recipe for you: ✨
Teppanyaki Style Beef and Vegetables
Ingredients:
- 1 pound of thinly sliced beef (sirloin or ribeye works well)
- Assorted vegetables (sliced bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, zucchini, etc.)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: sesame seeds, chopped green onions for garnish
Steps:
- Prepare Ingredients: Slice the beef into thin strips and chop the vegetables into bite-sized pieces.
- Heat the Griddle: Preheat your teppanyaki griddle or a large flat pan over medium-high heat until it’s hot.
- Cook Vegetables: Add a tablespoon of oil onto the teppanyaki griddle. Place the chopped vegetables and stir-fry them until they start to soften. You can season them with a bit of salt and pepper.
- Cook Beef: Push the vegetables to one side of the teppanyaki griddle and add another tablespoon of oil. Place the beef slices on the hot teppanyaki griddle and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side until they’re browned and cooked through.
- Combine and Season: Once the beef is cooked, mix it with the vegetables on the teppanyaki griddle. Add soy sauce and toss everything together for a minute or so until everything is heated through and coated with the sauce.
- Serve: Transfer the Teppanyaki-style beef and vegetables to a serving plate. Optionally, sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions for extra flavor and presentation.
